We have 5 bursaries available per event for Early Career Academics. These are for £165 each, intended to cover a return train fare and hotel accommodation. Refreshments, lunches and one workshop dinner are included in the free registration. 

 

To apply for a bursary please:

 

1. Register for the event on EventBrite

 

2. Email (to eco-communities@sheffield.ac.uk):

(a) name,

(b) affiliation (if relevant),

(c) 250 words summarising your research or practical interests and how attending this workshop will enhance them, in other words how will you benefit from attending?

(d) the location you will travel from,

(e) briefly outline why other sources of funding are not available. 

 

3. Submit your application by the deadline below.

 

Deadlines for bursary applications:

 

Cardiff event: 29th March 2019

Sheffield event: 31st July 2019

Birmingham event: 1st November 2019

 

We will let you know the outcome of your application 2 weeks after the deadline.

 

If awarded you will be required to submit an expense claim, with original receipts, up to a maximum of £165 for reimbursement.
